The Apple iPhone 13 Pro — which is the biggest rival to Samsung's Milky way S21 — was recently disassembled past TechInsights, who estimated that the beak of materials for the iPhone 13 Pro costs an estimated $570. This makes it more than expensive to industry than the Galaxy S21+, though both phones are available for purchase unlocked at a like price of $999.

Co-ordinate to the same source, the bill of materials for the Galaxy S21+ is around $508. The iPhone 13 Pro is seemingly more expensive to produce, at least as far as the cost of parts is concerned. However, it's important to keep in mind that the bill of materials doesn't include any R&D and aircraft costs or other expenses. The approximate simply adds the cost of private parts, which reaches a full of $570 in the case of the iPhone 13 Pro.

Apple'due south bill of materials is higher this yr

Of note is that the iPhone 13 Pro costs more to produce than the Milky way S21+ and the iPhone 12 Pro. The model that Apple released final year has an estimated pecker of materials worth $548.50.

This indicates that, unlike Samsung, Apple has been spending more than on iPhone parts over the past yr. In contrast, the Galaxy S21 Ultra was estimated to exist cheaper to manufacture than the Galaxy S20 Ultra by near 12%-13%, and thankfully, the 2021 flagship was also cheaper at launch past $200.
